Apple’s Censorin’ Artists Like Us

What Happened

It’s official, y’all. Apple Music and iTunes done told us we ain’t allowed to drop no new music on their platform no more. Old songs? You can still spin ‘em for now. But every new single, album, or compilation — Apple slammed the door shut.

Two Weeks of Back n’ Forth

We didn’t just take that sittin’ down. For two weeks straight, we went back n’ forth with our distributor and even wrote Apple directly. We asked ‘em plain: why the ban? What’s this “ineligible content” y’all keep talkin’ ‘bout?

First reply we got was corporate runaround: “Apple decided not to accept your new releases.” Then Apple told us to “talk to your distributor.” Distributor pointed back sayin’, “Apple flagged it.” Round n’ round like a busted Chevy on cinder blocks. No clear answer, no straight talk.

What Apple Calls “Ineligible”

Now, we don’t cuss folks out in our songs. We don’t drop hate speech. We ain’t callin’ for riots or nothin’. So what’s “ineligible” mean? Far as we can tell, it means Apple didn’t like that we released music too raw, too honest, too damn redneck. They hide behind their fine print sayin’ they can ban anythin’ at their sole discretion. That ain’t quality control — that’s censorship.

Quiet Censorship in Your Pocket

This ain’t just ‘bout us. If Apple can stop us, reckon how many other bands they done already silenced without tellin’ nobody? Apple’s built into every iPhone, every shiny laptop. Folks don’t see it, but there’s a quiet censor sittin’ right in your pocket, decidin’ what music you’re “allowed” to hear.

We’re Still Here

Good news is, we ain’t dead. You can still find our music on Spotify, YouTube, Amazon, Deezer, Audius, and a whole mess of other places. Apple can shut one door, but truth finds another. Hell, bein’ told we’re “too real for Apple” is the best badge of honor we could ever earn.

What’s Next

If they ever try cuttin’ us off everywhere, don’t worry. We’re already settin’ up ways to download our tracks right off our own website. Part of it’s already there, more’s comin’. Music’s for the people, not for corporations.

So yeah, Apple banned us from releasin’ new tunes. But that just proves one thing — we’re hittin’ nerves in all the right places. And we ain’t about to stop.
